Washington Heights Corner Project (WHCP) is running a charity fundraising event on the 1st of May which is looking to be good fun for the entire family. They have hired out an amazing venue in the fashion district which they will be filling with games that will capture the carnival essence. It will feature proper stands with games, such as shooting the target, fishing the gold fish, throwing the ball into the hoop and other such classics with prizes to be won. There will be a variety of traditional carnvial treats such as hot dogs, pop corn, cotton candy and ice cream available, it will be like a day out to the circus.
There is a 50/50 event planned, as well as an auction where visitors can walk home with some truly amazing prizes. All preceding will go towards WHCP to help fund their centres, and bring more care and help to those who most need it.
The WHCP help fund healthcare, education for those who need it, as well as provide needles to help decrease the risk of HIV being spread. Their aim is to significantly improve the health and quality of lives of those who are struggling with drugs. The WHCP help thousands of people each year turn their lives around. And the money raised will help improve their community outreach program, so that those who need it can get the support at home, as well as in their centres.
“We offer medical care for all sorts of things, lots of infections. We also offer education and rehab services for those that are looking to get healthy.”
The WHCP provides a valuable service to the local community, and this event will help them keep on giving. Help give back, and take part on what is looking to be an amazing day event.
